House Stalking - 06443 Edition
You know it’s going to be a good stalking when the zip code starts with a zero! I had the opportunity to celebrate a dear friend’s 40th birthday this June in Madison, Connecticut. Being my first time to Connecticut, I immediately fell in love with the charm and quaintness of Madison as well as all the other Connecticut towns we visited that week. Follow along as I show you some of the current real estate listings I have found!

With our home base being in Madison we had the perfect spot to walk to town, to the beach or for a stroll to rubber neck everyone’s lovely gardens on Middle Beach Road / Seaview Ave. I’ll have to be honest, I had a hard time finding listings for the post. As you know the market is slim and CT is no exception. Now that I have been there I can see why! Also, you must know that with me, the older the better.

So without further ado, let’s get to some house stalking!
This is our least expensive home but boasts wonderful charm. Built in 1920, this property is just a short walk to the beach! It is so cute with just the right amount of whimsy desired in a small New England beach home.
Stats: $995,000 / Built 1820 / 1,871 sq ft / 4 Bedroom, 4 Bath / Favorite Feature: Front Porch Door & Attic Bathroom (photos from Zillow)
I walked by this house every day and from the street you cannot tell just how magnificent this house is! She’s an oldie and an entertainer to boot!

We took a quick trip to Chester one day and it was probably my most favorite. Chester is tiny, but packed full of fabulous shops and artist. If in the area, make the trip, you’ll love it!

I couldn’t believe this house is for sale! Talk about a farmhouse glow up! Originally built in 1874, and a carefully crafted facelift beginning in 1883, this home has so many unique features. Definitely take time to follow the link to read the description on this one! Fixer upper anyone??

Located in the heart of the historic village, this home has an amazing view of the Pattaconk River. I love that the exterior is not too far off from being historic, but the inside is definitely modern and point of view oriented.

Essex was another small town that I immediately fell in love with. It’s got gorgeous colonial architecture and some of the cutest curb appeal I’ve ever seen!

A significant part of history to Essex, the Joseph Hill House was a retail store at the center of the village at the time it was built. I love that although it’s been fully renovated, they kept several of the original details.

Although Greenwich was not on our day trip list, I was fortunate enough to have two friends accompany me for a quick business trip I had planned. One stop we made was the Farrow & Ball showroom. It was so fun to see The Purnon Papers in person. Coming soon to the Emporium mid-August!

Ok, now for the heavy hitters!
Why 0 you ask? Because it’s on it’s own island. With gorgeous views of the Long Island Sound. It’s only half an acre, but it’s your own island!!!
