Maple Grove- A Hilltop Haunting

 

Throughout the ebb and flow of our design work this lifestyle firm will get the fortunate opportunity to add a little holiday flare, and this one did not disappoint as it fell on Halloween and a spooktacular party was in the works.  Our entire office is inspired by Halloween.  The energy is palpable when it comes to bouncing ideas off one another.  Halloween is a holiday that sparks the imagination-and not just when it comes to thinking up creative costumes.  It’s those ideas that can be fostered through art and design.  With its mysterious beauty and hilltop location, Maple Grove is a place that really stands out.  It was effortless to incorporate Halloween decor with its existing decor.

 

 

It was so easy to recreate the graveyard scene in front of the manor.  The landscaping really lent a beautiful hand in bringing an ominous feel with the brisk air and the newly fallen maple leaves.  Upon entrance, we are met with the Cheekwood tapestry covered in spider webs.

 

Lightly scattered throughout the home, are subtle accents and ghoulish surprises.  We were excited to know they would be revealed as party goers explored the home.  There were also some very large impact areas, specific to the dining room, that portrayed a very dramatic appeal.

 

In the plans, there were to be areas to serve food and cocktails for the festive occasion.  These areas were among my favorites.  Our designers created a magical evening, including the whimsical entertainment for the evening – the piano man…err..skeleton!
